The Great Ocean Road, Australia



The road stretches for 370km along the south-west coast of Victoria, Australia is one of the most scenic routes in the world. Ocean Road has become a favorite tourist destination and is popular with fans of automobile travel - views from the open road are stunning.
The road is equipped with multiple viewing platforms, with a breathtaking ocean views, lush forests and thickets of waterfalls, golden beaches and quiet villages, shipwrecks and scenic lighthouses, attract travelers to this region from all over the world.
  The main attraction of this road - the limestone cliffs, which are called the Twelve Apostles, they were rising from the ocean at 45 meters in height.
The Great Ocean Road was built in 1919-1932, respectively, as a memorial to Australian soldiers who died during World War II. The road construction has helped to provide jobs for soldiers returning from the war and all those in need of work during the Great Depression.
